What to Bring on a Private Boat Day in Side

For a private boat day in Side, bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection and a hat, water shoes if you plan to swim near rocks, and a light jumper if you are out for sunset. Take cash and ID only as you like. Food and soft drinks are options you can add to your quote; ask us about other drinks.

The essentials

A private boat day is easy to pack for. Most of what you need fits in one beach bag per family:

  • Swimwear, worn under your clothes saves changing on board
  • A towel per person
  • Sun cream, and plenty of it: you are on the water for five hours on the daytime package
  • A hat and sunglasses
  • A refillable water bottle
  • Any medication you need during the day

For swimming off the boat

Swimming at anchor is part of most days, and the captain picks the stops on the day by sea and weather. Along Side's coast that can mean rocky stretches with very clear water, so water shoes make getting around the rocks more comfortable. A dry bag keeps phones and keys safe when everyone is in and out of the sea.

If you are bringing children, our guide to a private boat for families covers shade, swimming and what to tell us about ages.

For a sunset return

On the sunset package, which starts at 15:00 and runs until sunset, the breeze on the way back can feel cool after a hot afternoon. A light jumper, cardigan or shirt with sleeves is enough. Charge your phone or camera before you board: the warmest light comes late in the package.

Food, drinks and money

Food or lunch and soft drinks are options you can add when you ask for a quote; each is priced in the quote, not part of the starting price of €550 for the whole boat. For other drinks, ask us. On the daytime package, lunch on board is part of the rhythm of the day, as described in our private daytime yacht guide.

Take cash, cards and ID only as you like. How and when you pay for the charter is confirmed with your quote.

What not to worry about

You do not need to plan the route; it is agreed with the captain on the day. You do not need to find the boat on your own; the meeting point is confirmed with your quote, and if you add a hotel transfer, so is the pickup time. If you are unsure about anything, from equipment to music, ask us before the day and we answer honestly. Ready to book? Start with the private day cruise.

Ready for your own boat?

Can I bring my own towels on the boat?

Yes, please bring a towel per person. Ask us if you have questions about anything else to bring.
